Living Community

The early Jesus-community saw church as local, global and radical. United in love, but diverse in expression: they use some ninety-six different images to describe themselves as a people of faith, who creatively blended lifestyle with liturgy, culture with tradition, and form with freedom. They were outward-looking and inclusive: a peace church with a peace meal as their centrepiece.

Can their variety and ingenuity offer us fresh possibilities in the way we imagine and experiment with being communities of faith today?
